World Water Day 2021

World Water Day is celebrated on March 22 every year since 1993. The initiative was launched by the UN-Water organization, which aims to raise awareness of water importance and the fact that 2,2 billion people still do not have safe access to healthy water. The main focus of WWD is to support the achievement of the UN’s 6th Sustainable Development Goal: Water and Sewerge for all until 2030.

The theme of World Water Day 2021 is “Valuing Water”. The aim of WWD 2021 is to launch a public discussion about how much people value water in all its applications trough a global social media campaign. The result of campaign should be more comprehensive understanding the way different people in different circumstances value water as a resource. The ultimate goal of the campaign is to protect water and increase its availability.

Croatian Society for Environmental Engineering invites you to respond to the global campaign and share experiences on social networks about the importance of water in your homes and families, everyday life and the local environment. You are invited to express publicly how important water is for your well-being. Do it with hashtag #Water2Me.

Selected comments and opinions will be compiled in a document avaliable at www.worldwaterday.org from March 22, 2021.
