International Volunteer Day was declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 1985. It is celebrated every year on December 5th with the aim of recognizing and promoting the tireless work of volunteers at the local, national and international level.
By volunteering, we can bring positive changes to our community and use our free time to help others and contribute to society. Also, volunteering enables the development of skills, competences and experiences, which increases the possibility of employment.
