On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the 3rd STEM Skills Fest was held in front of the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering in Varaždin, with short astronomy workshops through which participants were introduced to STEM skills, such as:
- What the telescope looks like from the inside
- What the Sun looks like through the eyepiece of a telescope
- How to make a telescope find Jupiter on its own
- How to know where to look for stars in the sky
- What will our sky look like tonight
- How to turn the sky over your head
- How to photograph the universe we see through a telescope, and
- How dark is our sky really?
The STEM Fest lasted from 4 to 6 p.m. and was attended by about fifty preschool and elementary school children. The event was organised as one of the activities of the STEP for STEM project.
