In the period from December 1 to 4, 2025, at the STEM Centre for Children and Youth in Vara\u017edin, the first cycle of workshops of the Small STEM School \u201cEnvironmental Care: Water\u201d was held.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Small School lasted 4 days, and the participants spent 2 hours each day studying a new topic:<\/p>\n

  1. Water on its way \u2013 Let\u2019s discover where the water we drink comes from!<\/li>\n
  2. Is the water clean? \u2013 Let\u2019s investigate what kind of water we drink!<\/li>\n
  3. Water in everyday life \u2013 Where does water work for us?<\/li>\n
  4. Let\u2019s protect water \u2013 our treasure!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Small School was attended by four participants who, together with the facilitator, researched the hydrological cycle, conducted various experiments, and devised their own ways of conserving water.<\/p>\n

    At the workshops, participants tested the properties of water using various laboratory instruments, built an aquifer and a water filter, drew conclusions about the quality of water and its presence in various professions, created a simulation of a mini car wash, and carried out various other activities that taught them about the importance of water in a creative way.<\/p>\n

    Small School ended with a short presentation of their conclusions and a small presentation on how they can save water in everyday life. The participants gained a basic understanding of the hydrological cycle, quality analysis and responsible use of water, and acquired the habit of asking questions and thinking about the water they use every day.<\/p>\n

    The next cycle of Small STEM School workshops, \u201cEnvironmental Care: Air\u201d, is planned for January 2026, after the school holidays. The Small STEM School is held as one of the activities of the\u00a0STEP for STEM<\/a>\u00a0project.<\/p>\n
